How often should you service your chain?
It depends on the type of lubricant, but a good rule of thumb is, if you can hear the chain squeaking or grinding, you’ve gone too long. If it is squeaking, it is lacking lubricant or dry. If it is grinding, the lubricant has attracted sand or debris requiring it to be cleaned and relubricated.
